Throughout Nina's 2023 North American tour and her festival appearances at events like Lollapalooza, Hard Summer, Breakaway Festival, Imagine Festival, and more, she dedicated herself to refining many of these tracks, infusing her experiences and inspirations into her music production.
The EP includes 5 tracks: '1x1' featuring Ravenna Golden, 'Undo U,' 'Wayside,' 'Kota on the Plane' with Kota Banks, and an alternative version of 'Undo U' (aka 4x4 Mix). These tracks offer a fusion of compelling vibes, high BPM rhythms, and captivating collaborations that consciously embraces the warmer, pop-inflected tones of dance music production, effectively showcasing her artistic growth over the past years.
In the press release about the EP, she reveals details;
“Making music hasn't felt this fun and effortless for me since the pre-pandemic era. All of these songs were made in the last few months with my good friends, and they were produced very quickly, mostly in under a day. They're not meant to be taken too seriously or to be overly deep; they felt fulfilling and easy to write and produce! On this release (and others to come), I've been drawing more and more inspiration from the dance music that changed my life as a child, getting closer to becoming the producer I dreamed of being when I first heard it.”
One of her earliest sources of inspiration for the EP hails from the electronic music of the 2000s, drawing on genres like electro house and dance-pop, with artists such as Zedd and Porter Robinson shaping her creative vision. This journey into the past has allowed her to craft a sonic space that encompasses various facets of dance music, resulting in a fresh and vibrant sound.
With relentless high BPM club anthems, Ninajirachi maintains her reputation for pushing boundaries with her out-of-the-box productions, and as she continues to make her mark on the music world, we eagerly anticipate more groundbreaking releases in the future.
